This will open in any direction without tipping. The base and the lid are very heavy.

Do you have some ideas? A Pistol, or knife that needs a place to live. I can do that too.

I really like this one. What are the dimensions of the drawers/trays?

ReplyDeleteThat one is approximately 6x6x6 inches. each drawer is 1 inch deep.
The bad news is it was sitting on my table over the weekend when someone had stopped by to pick up their order, and he bought this one too.
The good news I am making more of these right now, and I do have more tiger oak, but can make it from anything. I am gluing up some material that will give quite a contrast on one of the corners as well. Maple and black walnut tips. I should have new pictures of it up once I can get it on the machine to get cut. Also with that, I can make it larger if you would want. Also with more, or for that matter less trays too.
Attached is an screen shot of design two of this style box that will be round and offset like the original was.
